Robert Buchanan is an Applied Mathematician with varied interests. Formal education consists of B.S. in Physics and M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. Areas of expertise include mathematical finance (Black-Scholes option pricing, hedging, stochastic calculus), mathematical modeling, numerical simulation, software development, education, and technical writing. Twenty years of experience in university education and research and mathematical consulting to industry.
Monika Buchanan possesses a broad base of experience in the proactive reduction of risk across diverse industrial settings including hydro, manufacturing, mining, refining, and various service related industries.
Monika earned her M.B.A from Alvernia University in Reading PA and her B.S in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health with a minor in Environmental Hazards and Emergency Management from Millersville University of PA. Prior to that, she earned her RN diploma and practiced nursing in Europe.
Monika has interests in Natural Disaster Studies and participated in a National Science Foundation research study in Thailand after the tsunami disaster in 2004. She is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).
